Jason Spencer has been fixing, building, and creating things since he was a kid.

He naturally gravitated towards working with his hands, taking on odd jobs and projects, repairing homes to flip, and learning from Master Craftsmen, carpenters, furniture and cabinet makers, flooring experts, and others. It wasn't long before the entrepreneurial bug hit him, and his career was launched. Pairing his talent as a builder with his natural social skills and vision for the future, he built a construction company with the goal of serving others and making a positive impact in his community.

Spencer attributes his family upbringing for influencing him the most when it comes to how he runs his company.

"Work hard, stay grounded, and above all, tell the truth." Today Spencer Contracting is known for openness and transparency when it comes to pricing, scheduling, and communicating with customers and clients. "Creating a habit of complete transparency builds trust with everyone we do business with- from our employees to our vendors and ultimately our customers. Anyone can build you a building, but do you trust them? Our word and Reputation are more important to us than our profits," says Spencer. That philosophy appears to be working. Spencer Contracting's projects have received numerous awards, including the Remodeling Excellence Award from Louisiana Homebuilders Association, The Home Design Excellence Award from Houzz, and Remodeler of the Year for the HBA of Greater Baton Rouge, among others. Jason lives and works in Baton Rouge, LA, with his wife Dayna and his five children.
